We designed the Blizzak ICE tread with more sipes and harder blocks - raised sections of the tire's rubber - to improve its grip and braking on snowy and icy roads. The design also helps the tire withstand the harshest winter conditions to continuously maintain excellent performance.

To prevent this, the Blizzak ICE uses a multi-cell compound that absorbs water released from the ice to ensure firm grip.
