The EK-Classic Strix RTX 3080/3090 D-RGB from EK Water Blocks is a high-quality and powerful heatsink for custom water cooling that fits on ASUS ROG Strix RTX 3080/3090 graphics cards . Thanks to the optimized channel structure and nickel-plated electrolytic copper block, efficient cooling of the GPU, memory and voltage converter is guaranteed. With its transparent acrylic glass cover, the heat sink also ensures an absolutely unique and elegant look.
Why should I cool my graphics card with water?
Top performance in the graphics card segment is still bought with a top heat development. Because only if the clock screw is turned to the stop and the calculation units are used up to the last segment, the decisive advantage over the competing products can be achieved. Smaller structure widths and more efficient layouts can limit this problem, but not completely eliminate it. As expected, the next generation will also be pushed to the maximum.

The problem is exacerbated by your own overclocking, because the temperatures can reach critical values. In short: If you want a low volume when gaming or even when benching and possibly want to turn the clock at the same time, you can hardly avoid water cooling. In addition to the usual components (radiator, pump, expansion tank), a suitable cooler for the graphics card is of course necessary - such as this model from the water cooling specialists EK Water Blocks.
Optics and connections of the EK-Classic Strix RTX 3080/3090 D-RGB
It is a full-block design that covers all relevant heat sources of the graphics card and thus cools them effectively - i.e. the GPU, the memory and the voltage converters. Nickel-plated electrolytic copper and an optimized channel structure are used to optimally transfer the heat.

The lid is made of transparent acrylic glass including an integrated 5V DRGB LED strip with Gigabyte Mystic Light Sync, ASUS Aura Sync, MSI RGB Fusion and ASRock Polychrome Sync compatibility. The connection terminal has two holes with a G1/4 inch thread that can be used from both sides. Due to the flat design of the cooler, it is also possible to connect several graphics cards in a network without any problems.

Note 1:Connections that are not included in the scope of delivery are required for integration into the cooling circuit. Please note that the cooler is only suitable for ASUS ROG Strix RTX 3080/3090 graphics cards ! The original cooler must be removed before installation, which will void the manufacturer's warranty!

Note 2: This cooling block is not compatible with the graphics card's factory-installed backplate. However, the original NVIDIA NVLink bridges can be used.
