This replacement Bar is a crucial component your chainsaw.
The bar is the oval-shaped piece of the chainsaw that the sharp chain rotates around at a steady pace. Without the bar, the chain would have nothing to keep it in place and spinning.
If you find that one side of your existing bar is bent more than the other, the bar is twisted. Twisted bars are difficult to straighten and should be replaced. One overlooked component of the chainsaw is the bar and if it is not properly maintained, it will decrease the saw’s efficiency and damage the chain.
Should the bar become damaged or wear unevenly due to improper chain tension or poor cutting technique, the chainsaw may become stuck in the material you're cutting.
The gauge is the thickness of the chain drive link and the groove in the bar. Please note: the gauge of the chain and the gauge of the bar must match.
