The perfect cutting board for your knife
Choose our Hard Maple wood cutting board. Then you will cut your ingredients in style and because the wood naturally contains the substance tannin, bacteria do not stand a chance.
Plus and minuses
- Ideal hardness for good cutting.
- More hygienic than plastic.
- Wood fibres recover, keeping the board beautiful.
- Both sides are suitable for cutting up.
- One side is fitted with a trench for collecting juices.
- Fitted with milled-in handles.
- If used properly, it will last a lifetime.
- The cutting board is not dishwasher safe.
- Wood works so it can warp, shrink and expand.
Our wooden cutting board is more hygienic than a plastic cutting board
Maplewood also contains extremely high levels of tannin, so goodbye unicellular bacteria. The wood has another big advantage: it is just hard enough to cut nicely on without blunting your knife. And very strong: your board will last a lifetime. If you do want to break it, put it in the dishwasher a lot. No, better not do that.
The cutting board has been oiled in with our Tung oil, filling all pores of the wood. This prevents bacteria, dirt and moisture from penetrating the wood. This makes the cutting board optimally protected and water-resistant.
One side for dry ingredients and one side for wet ingredients
One side of the cutting board has a channel with reservoir, for catching meat, fish and vegetable juices. The other side is smooth, for cutting drier ingredients. The sides of this cutting board have milled handles.
The cutting board with self-healing ability
We made it in a special way. By gluing end-sawn pieces of wood together, the board is self-healing and scratches on your board are almost non-existent. The Wood Works cutting board is extremely strong, so with proper use it will last a lifetime. Oh yes, one more thing: the wood works a bit, so it may expand and shrink a bit and warp a bit. But put it upside down and the next day it will be straight again!
