A major problem with the use of silent fans or controllable power supplies are the vibrations that are transmitted by such components directly to the housing.
To avoid vibrations, the use of vibration killers is recommended. This silicone frame can be mounted directly between the fan and the case and absorbs vibrations due to the nature of the material. The frame is also recommended for CPU coolers, as long as the radiator fan is flat.
Please note that the silicone frame can only be used with fans that can be screwed directly to the housing and are not used in so-called fan mounts (eg Chieftec CS 601).
