Perfect colors at any brightness level
ASUS OLED laptops maintain 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space at both high and low brightness levels, while on a standard laptop with an LCD screen, the color palette is significantly reduced at low brightness. At a brightness close to gray at 16G, laptops with LCD screens offer only 11% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, while laptops with ASUS OLED screens maintain 100% DCI-P3.
ASUS OLED laptops perfectly reproduce blacks. A pixel in an OLED matrix consists of three sub-pixels, each emitting a self-produced light. The Full HD (1920x1080) screen has 2,073,600 pixels, thus 6,220,800 light-generating sub-pixels, compared to just a few dozen backlight LEDs in a Full HD LCD screen. When displaying black on an OLED screen, the pixel is simply turned off to provide the darkest black possible.
