Design and external interfaces
The appearance of the Elitebook 1040 G3, like most similar ultrabooks, is stylish and laconic.
The laptop lid is made of silver matte aluminum, but there is a narrow plastic insert at the front edge - under it there are antennas for the device’s wireless interfaces. On the sides, the surface of the cover has small bevels, and in the center it is decorated with a large chrome HP logo.
The interior of the ultrabook has a simple, practical and attractive contrasting design: the work area is made of light silver aluminum, the separate keys and display frame are made of matte black plastic.
Overall, thanks to its thin wedge-shaped profile, abundance of straight lines and aluminum surfaces, as well as a simple and stylish design, the HP Elitebook Folio 1040 G3 is a beautiful and elegant laptop that can easily be classified as an expensive fashion model.
Despite the thin body, the external interfaces of the ultrabook are represented by a fairly solid set of connectors: on the right side there is a SIM card slot, a USB Type-C port, a USB 3.0 port, an HDMI digital video output, a connector for connecting a docking station and a connector for a charger, and on the left side there is a slot for smart cards, a combined audio jack and a second USB 3.0 connector.
