The rustic fire barrel from Feuerhand
Campfire made easy
The Pyron fire barrel is ideal for cozy evenings in the garden or on the terrace. Whether it's a garden party, campfire romance or family bread-stick fun, with the rustic industrial-chic stainless steel barrel, every fire can be made easily, cleanly and quickly.
Functional and robust
The special construction with the sophisticated air supply system of the Pyron fire barrel enables extremely effective and almost smoke-free combustion thanks to the chimney effect and wood gasifier principle. This is particularly advantageous for enjoying stick bread, marshmallows or sausages over an open fire, for example. The firewood can be easily placed on the charcoal grate and refilling is possible at any time. The easy-to-empty ash tray reliably collects the burning residue.
Stable on three legs
The three high legs give the fire barrel stability on almost any surface. In addition, it is not damaged by the fire. By using the Pyron fire barrel, an individual color and an attractive patina will develop over time. This is completely normal and varies depending on the heat level, filling and type of fuel. The coloring gives the barrel an original used look and makes it a rustic eye-catcher for every barbecue evening.

How does the wood gasification principle work in the fire barrel?
The Feuerhand Pyron consists of a double-walled stainless steel body. The holes in the base and walls of the body ensure an ideal supply of oxygen. Thanks to the so-called wood gasification principle, the firewood burns in the Pyron under optimal conditions: While the oxygen from below keeps the fire alive (primary combustion), heated air flows parallel to it through the double wall to the upper holes, where rising unburned flue gas is then burned (secondary combustion ).
Thanks to this well-thought-out functional principle, the Pyron enables effective combustion and an almost smoke-free fire for the garden and terrace. Another advantage is that the burning of wood and flue gas releases only a few emissions into the environment. Once the fire barrel is started, it enchants with a unique flame effect and becomes a special garden experience.

Which wood is right for the fire barrel?
When it comes to firewood for your fire barrel, it's similar to a fireplace. Firewood with a high calorific value is particularly suitable. The higher the calorific value, the higher the energy that is released when the wood is burned.
Hardwoods are therefore particularly recommended. Beech, for example, burns very quietly and glows for a long time. Ash impresses with its particularly beautiful flame pattern. Birch is easy to ignite and comes up to temperature relatively quickly: the flame has a bluish glow and there are hardly any sparks. Birch bark is also an excellent natural lighting material for your fire barrel. Oak or copper beech are also very suitable, although oak has a distinctive burning smell.
Basically, any wood with a residual moisture content of 15-20% is suitable. However, hardwoods are much more efficient because they burn evenly and slowly. In addition, some of them spread a pleasant scent due to the natural, essential oils in the wood or have a positive effect on the appearance of the flames.
With soft wood, such as pine or spruce, you will have a quick lighting process and a cozy crackling noise, but there will also be a lot of flying sparks and the wood will burn down relatively quickly. However, its efficient burning method makes it ideal for lighting your Pyron fire barrel or your Tyropit fire bowl.
