Lacquer UR-294 is a one-component polyurethane lacquer with a curing process based on reaction to humidity. The varnish is designed for the protection and decoration of indoor concrete and wooden surfaces. Provides a glossy finish with extremely high hardness and abrasion resistance, and is therefore recommended for lacquering concrete and wood floors in industrial and warehouse facilities as well as in heavily exploited public spaces. Can be used for waterproofing concrete structures that are not exposed to intense atmospheric factors. The coating has good resistance to dilute alkali and weak acid solutions, as well as to oils, petrol and solvents.

Usage
Lacquer was applied to clean dry surfaces using a brush or roller. For fresh concrete surfaces, varnish can be applied no sooner than 28 days. Lime milk should be cleaned from their surface beforehand (see instructions for preparing concrete surfaces for painting on the Tips section of the homepage). Intensive air exchange (ventilation) should be provided during the application and drying of the varnish. In case of insufficiently intensive ventilation, yellowing of surfaces covered with chalk-containing emulsion paints and plasters is possible. The lacquer is diluted with solvent “2290” to the viscosity of the work. Xylene or solvent Solveks Sprint can also be used for dilution.

The diluted lacquer should be used within 3 days. The first (primer) and last layer of varnish need to be diluted more than the interlayer. Approximately the required amount of solvent is 15% by volume for the first and last round, 10% by volume for the intermediate. Applying lacquer in a thick layer under high humidity conditions may cause the appearance of gas bubbles in the coating. To prevent this, the varnish should be applied in thin layers. Varnish consumption for each layer - 8 - 9 m2 / l. For the prevention of minor defects (for example, in the case of wooden fibers taking up the surface of wooden surfaces) sanding with sandpaper is recommended.

Drying time for each coat (20 ± 2) ° C - no more than 3 hours. Each subsequent coat should only be applied after the previous coat has dried. Recommended number of layers, including priming, - 2- 4. If the application of the varnish is to be carried out 3 days after the application of the previous coat, the treatment of the lacquer surface with fine sandpaper is necessary to improve the adhesion of the interlayer. Maximum hardness coverage reaches after 3 days. Store the lacquer in a tightly sealed container, protected from moisture.
