PoE is a standard-based technology that specifies how power is distributed along with data on standard Ethernet LAN cables. The standard specifies IEEE802.3af providing up to 15.4W of power per device and IEEE802.3at providing up to 30W per device. Complying with the IEEE 802.3af and IEEE802.3at standards, the ZyXEL PoE12 Series offers interoperability and compatibility with other standard-based PoE devices.

Trouble-free installation

With PoE technology, the PoE12 Series enables users to place devices such as wireless LAN access APs, IP surveillance cameras and IP phones exactly where they are needed. Since the devices are directly powered through Ethernet cables, there is no need to have separate power supplies or to have costly electrical engineers putting AC power sockets on ceilings or roof spaces.

Plug and Play – ease of use

The PoE12 Series is easy to use and needs no configuration. Since only simple inbound and outbound cable plugs are required, the installation is very straightforward and can be performed by users having no electrical wiring experience without spending extra cost.
