In more advanced models this function can be activated in customer setting mode, which will automatically lock the hob at every switch-off. Otherwise you can lock the hob by pressing the symbol.
Ensuring even greater safety, residual energy indicators illuminate to reveal which zones of the hob are still radiating heat. As long as an indicator is lit, the respective heating zone should not be touched. However, you can still makle a use of it by defrosting or maintaing a dish warm.
