If you have a deep well or a cistern in your garden and would like to irrigate your garden with this free water then the GARDENA Submersible Pressure Pumps 5500/3 are just the thing for you. They are also excellently suited for using sprinklers and irrigation systems. Powerful and noiseless they can pump water from depths of up to 13 metres – even when submerged on long-term. Robust and high-quality materials allow operation under water and protect the pump from damage. Filters made of stainless steel prevent the entry of impurities into the pump and the quiet, maintenance-free capacitor motor with thermal overload switch protects the motor against overload. An integrated backflow preventer prevents leaking of the hose after the pump has been taken out of operation and shortens the re-suction time when re-started. Thanks to a Float Switch that automatically stops pump operation when the water level is too low, dry-running of the pump is not possible. Many qualities that will guarantee long-term, safe pumping operation.
Also ensuring high operation safety and a long life of the pump are double motor-sealings and ceramic protection. Through a 3-stage feed impeller the water is efficiently and quietly pumped. Practical: thanks to a 15-metre-long connecting cable the pump is quickly installed and, with a supplied fastening rope, the pump can be easily submerged or drawn back up if required.
