The plunge base has all the features you need: soft grip handles, smooth plunge action (max 55mm) with sprung lock lever, depth scale in metric and imperial, micro fine depth adjustment and 7-step turret depth stop. The cutter is visible at all times due to the wide opening of 54mm on the clear sub base taking a maximum bit size of 44mm. The motor body locks into the base with a clamp.
