Modern man must be mobile and always available. Notebooks are therefore small and handy. For this reason, usually only one hard drive and one optical drive are installed. The latter is needed less and less. But the internal hard drive is filled quickly and the data must be swapped out.

Most hard drives and SSDs are equipped with the SATA interface, making them ideal for use in most PC systems. For connection to a notebook, the drive often has to be installed in an additional external drive housing with a USB connection. But who wants to carry around an external hard drive for this purpose? Nobody.

The manufacturer Kolink shows with the HDKO001 converter a compact and practical solution for notebooks. This allows a 2.5-inch SATA HDD or SSD up to 9.5 mm to be installed and used in the internal SATA drive bay of the optical drive. Even modern SSD drives can be used this way.

Simply connect your own hard drive or SSD with SATA connector to the adapter, screw it together and enjoy the speed advantage of an SSD or the extended capacity of an additional hard drive. The scope of delivery includes not only the HDKO001 converter but also the necessary mounting material.

Note:Please note that the version of the converter offered here is 9.9 mm high and requires a correspondingly high slot in the laptop. Be sure to measure the optical drive height on your laptop before purchasing!
