RocketRAID 2700 external-port HBA's were designed to work in conjunction with Rocket EJ Series SATA JBOD Expander and SAS-Expansion modules, which can dramatically expand the storage capability of each Mini-SAS connector.
Simple and Easy Storage Expansion: RocketRAID 2700 series HBA's allow customers to expand capacity and convert existing RAID arrays from one level to another without having to start from scratch: your data remains intact and accessible during the transition! There are three Software Packages available for the RocketRAID 2720/2722A, each of which is tailored for a specific range of storage applications; RAID BIOS, Quick BIOS and Non-RAID BIOS Modes.
